California tosses unregistered contractors in the hoosegow
Apparently, they don’t mess around in California when it comes to unregistered contractors.
In a recent sting held in multiple cities across the state, authorities posed as homeowners seeking a variety of work, from gutter installation to tree trimming, to find nearly 100 unregistered contractors who responded to their ads. Then, they arrested them.
Unregistered contracting is against the law in California — just as it is in Washington.
